Spring Contracting Group served as subcontractor to Northpoint Builders for the Charles Carroll Community Center in Westminster, Maryland, a 13,000 SF pre-engineered metal building designed by Mimar Architects & Engineers. The facility supports Carroll County’s Recreation and Parks Department and hosts a wide range of community programs including pickleball, youth sports, adult fitness, and educational workshops. We furnished and erected the American Buildings Company (ABC) steel structure, delivering a durable and flexible envelope tailored to the county’s long-term recreational needs. Our scope included all structural steel, roof and wall panels, insulation systems, doors, and windows. The PEMB system was selected for its efficiency, speed of installation, and adaptability to multipurpose use. Envelope assemblies were coordinated to meet thermal performance standards and provide ample daylighting through clerestory windows and glazed entries. The building’s layout supports large open-span areas suitable for sports and gatherings, with finishes and materials chosen for resilience and ease of maintenance. Our team worked closely with Northpoint Builders to ensure seamless integration with site utilities and interior build-out phases. The structure’s design allows for future expansion and reconfiguration, aligning with Carroll County’s evolving recreational goals. Exterior detailing and roof systems were installed to withstand regional weather conditions and minimize long-term upkeep. Spring Contracting Group is proud to have contributed to a facility that enhances community engagement and supports wellness across generations. The Charles Carroll Community Center stands as a testament to thoughtful planning, collaborative execution, and public investment in shared spaces.
